Hotel Europe Nagasaki is located in the Huis Ten Bosch
theme park resort, in Omura Bay northeast of Nagasaki in Japan. A recreation
of 17th-century Holland, Huis Ten Bosch is 90 minutes from Nagasaki Station
by Seaside Liner. The resort park is one of Nagasaki's most famous attractions,
with amazing replicas of many historical Dutch landmarks set alongside peaceful
canals and brick-lined streets. Within the Huis Ten Bosch resort are numerous
shops, restaurants, bars, a host of attractions, and museums. Hotel Europe
Nagasaki is just 45 minutes from Nagasaki International Airport by high-speed
boat and 50 minutes by express bus.

Nearby Nagasaki is a pleasant, waterfront city with a wealth
of attractions that reflect the influence of other cultures throughout its
history. With a thriving Chinatown and architectural reminders of Nagasaki's
early contacts with Dutch and Portuguese traders, Nagasaki is well worth a
visit.

A commemoration of the destruction of Nagasaki by the atomic
bomb during World War II, with a peace statue and monument in the Hypocenter
Park marking the epicenter of the explosion.

With beautiful views of Nagasaki, the garden houses a collection
of Western-style houses, including that of Thomas Glover, a 19th-century Scottish
merchant who lived in Nagasaki and introduced modern shipbuilding techniques
to Japan.

Next to the entrance of Glover Garden, this is the oldest
example of a Catholic church in Japan, built in 1865 for the foreign population
that lived in Nagasaki at the time.

Containing the Museum of Chinese History, the Confucian
Shrine is dedicated to Confucius, the Chinese philosopher.

Also known as Shinchimachi, Nagasaki's Chinatown is a vibrant
community with a large number of restaurants and shops.

Originally an artificial island built to house the Portuguese
residents of Nagasaki in the 17th century, that later became a Dutch trading
post, Dejima is in the process of being reconstructed to highlight the fascinating
history of this part of Nagasaki.

Getting around Nagasaki is easy via the city's four tramlines,
and most of Nagasaki's attractions are within walking distance of each other.


Classic buses are the most popular means of transportation
in Huis Ten Bosch. Buses depart from the Huis Ten Bosch entrance at regular
intervals. Stops include Nieuwstad, Binnenstad, and Spakenburg. The bus driver
acts as tour guide at the same time. Travel time from the entrance to Spakenburg
harbor is approximately ten minutes.

Classic taxis offer the finest in private transportation
that Huis Ten Bosch has to offer. Travel to and from your hotel, or drive
around town, in a limited edition classic vehicle. Its design harmonizes perfectly
with the 17th-century architecture of Huis Ten Bosch. Please feel free to

can help you with all your questions about Huis Ten Bosch. A ride in one of

Bicycles of all kinds and sizes can be rented at bicycle
rental shop Fiets (which means "bicycle" in Dutch). Fiets can be
found near the Huis Ten Bosch entrance as well as at Alexanderplein. Why not
take a ride on a unique two- or four-seat bicycle!


By plane
Flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) to Nagasaki Airport
(NGS) take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. There are several flights each
day. From Nagasaki Airport visitors can choose to travel by high-speed ferry
or by bus.
By train
Take the bullet train from Tokyo Station to Hakata (Fukuoka)
Station. Travel time is approximately 6 hours 30 minutes. From Hakata (Fukuoka)
Station take the Huis Ten Bosch Express train to Huis Ten Bosch Station. Note:
After 4:00 pm the Huis Ten Bosch Express travels only as far as Haiki Station,
which is one stop before Huis Ten Bosch. After arrival at Haiki Station, please
transfer to the local train bound for Nagasaki.

By plane
Flights from Osaka Itami Airport (ITM) or Kansai Airport
(KIX) to Nagaski Airport take approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. There are several
flights each day. From Nagasaki Airport visitors can choose to travel by high-speed
ferry or by bus.
By train
Take the bullet train from Shin Osaka Station to Hakata
(Fukuoka) Station. Travel time is approximately 3 hours 30 minutes. From Hakata
(Fukuoka) Station take the Huis Ten Bosch Express train to Huis Ten Bosch
Station. Note: After 4:00 pm the Huis Ten Bosch Express travels only as far
as Haiki Station, which is one stop before Huis Ten Bosch. After arrival at
Haiki Station, please transfer to the local train bound for Nagasaki.

By train
The Huis Ten Bosch Express offers a direct, no-transfer
connection between Hakata (Fukuoka) Station and Huis Ten Bosch. The train
operates from around 8:00 am until approximately 4:00 pm. During this time,
direct trains depart for Huis Ten Bosch every hour. Travel time is approximately
1 hour 45 minutes. Visitors who choose to travel after 4:00 pm will have to
switch trains at Haiki Station. A comfortable alternative may be to take a
taxi from Haiki Sation to Huis Ten Bosch (this should take around ten minutes).

By Airportliner (high-speed boat)
A regular ferry service operates between Nagasaki Airport
and Huis Ten Bosch. Ferry departure times are scheduled to coincide with plane
arrival and departure times. Travel time is 50 minutes.
By bus
Several buses depart for Huis Ten Bosch every hour. Travel
time is 50 minutes.

By bus
Buses depart once or twice every hour. For a detailed timetable,
please inquire at your hotel or at the bus terminal. Travel time is 1 hour
15 minutes.
By train
Trains bound for Huis Ten Bosch depart from Nagasaki Station
throughout the day, starting from around 7:00 am until 9:00 pm. Travel time
is 1 hour 20 minutes.
